Kids & Teens Update

This summer has already brought us some clouds and rain, but also plenty of fun memories for the kids, teens, and families at CCU!

June

This past month, we took advantage of the beautiful summer and had fun-filled outdoor events. “CCU Is Going Skating” brought families out for a casual afternoon at the Orlando Skate Park. We also gathered underneath the oak trees at CCU to watch Disney Pixar’s Soul during our CCU Movie On The Lawn event.

Our kids love “Soul”…

…and so do our grown-ups!

July

In July, we’re gearing up for our 3rd annual summer camp, “Look for the Helpers.” Join us July 26 through 30 for a week-long camp full of DIY projects, cooking and yoga classes, outdoor water challenges and more!

This enriching camp will focus on empowering your child to be an advocate for what they believe in! We’ll be discussing animal rights, social justice and earth conversation in fun and developmentally appropriate ways. Crafts, discussions, music, and games will help bring the lessons to life!

The week will end with a field trip to the Orlando History Center, where each one of these themes will gain context with real-world application.

This camp is open to all students in grades 1-8. Registration and camp information can be found online at CCUOrlando.net.

Club U

Our Sunday gatherings have been revamped with our newly-rebranded Club U!

Continue to join us in-person or online each Sunday at 10:30am! This upcoming Sunday is the last of our 9-week series exploring Disney Pixar’s Soul.

In the month of July, we’ll be sharing themes campus-wide. Kids and Teens will be exploring the same themes you discover in the “big church” which can lead to some great conversations on the way home!

Our July themes are:

July 11th – Where Have All the Miracles Gone?

July 18th – Divinely Human

July 25th – Grieving The Lilly Pad

As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns!
