Can you believe it? Summer is ending, and we are turning the calendar to a whole new season! I am amazed by all we experienced as a community throughout the summer, and I am even more excited about what we have coming up. Here is your opportunity to save some dates and connect with this vibrant Spiritual community!

September

UNITY WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

First up is Unity World Day of Prayer on September 9th. Beginning at 8:00am our Prayer Chaplains will be holding the high watch with continuous affirmative, uplifting prayer in the Peace Chapel. All are invited to come and pray with us. We will close the day at 7pm with a special service in the sanctuary (and livestream) led by Revs. Maggie and Don. We hope you’ll join us!

“THE FIVE LOVE LANGUAGES” CLASS WITH HANK LEWIS, LUT

Next, Hank Lewis, Licensed Unity Teacher, begins The Five Love Languages class on Wednesday, September 15th. This will be a two-week class offered via Zoom from 7:00-8:30. You can register for the class and receive the Zoom link by clicking here.

FALL FAITH SERIES

Fall Faith is coming up, and Denise Rosier will be with us to kick it off! We will have a “Heart of Praise” concert at CCU on Saturday, October 2nd at 7pm, and she will be our special guest artist in service on Sunday morning October 3rd.

Our Fall Faith series this year we will take a deep dive into “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz. Rev. Maggie and Rev. Don will walk us through one of the four agreements each Sunday in October, followed by Wednesday night classes going deeper on the topic.

We are joining forces with EIGHT Unity communities in Florida and across the country for an enriching experience of supporting our souls’ growth. Classes begin on September 29th with Rev. Roxanne Graves providing an overview of the book and the expectations of the personal journey as we continue through the month of October together.

ABOUT FALL FAITH WEDNESDAY NIGHT CLASSES

You’ll see some familiar faces co-facilitating each Wednesday’s class—including me! I’ll be joining Rev. Roxanne Graves, Rev. Kathy Beasley, and Rev. Teresa Curry from our closest New Thought sister communities as instructors.

COME OUT WITH PRIDE

Next up in October is Come out with Pride on October 9th! CCU will again have a presence at Come Out With Pride and we want you to be there! Please see Nora Miles or Michael Angelos for details on how you can participate, support, and volunteer!

DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS

Later in the month of October we will be honoring our ancestors by exploring the Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos. This is a day to bring the memory of those who have come before us into our community for celebration, remembrance, and loving appreciation.
