A Lot Going On at CCU!
What a month so far! June has been filled with celebration, recognition, and accomplishments, and we’re only halfway through!
PRIDE AND PULSE
We kicked off June by celebrating National Pride month in a fun, high energy service where everyone was
invited to sport their rainbow colors and “Live Out Loud.” We also recognized our 2021 Prayer Chaplain Team and honored them for their sacred service to CCU.
Last week we turned inward through a beautiful remembrance service, and reflected on where we are in our healing process five years after the Pulse Nightclub tragedy. If you missed either service, click the images or look for them on
Reverend Don Barton
On Monday, June 14th, Rev. Don Barton graduated from Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute and was ordained by Unity Worldwide Ministries. This Sunday, Father’s Day, Rev. Don is delivering the Sunday message “This is God, Act Accordingly”. You will want to be here or viewing online as to not miss a BIG, exciting announcement as we celebrate this milestone in Rev. Don’s journey!
We will wrap up June by welcoming our next group of new members!
KIDS & TEENS MINISTRY
June also marked the point when our Kids and Teen Ministry re-opened on campus, I cannot tell you how great it was to see 16 of our youngsters and listen to their joy and laughter in Hightower Hall after service! Our movie night was rained out but has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 26th!!! You won’t want to miss this fun event.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES • TOWN HALL
Save the Date!
On July 11, 2021, the Board of Trustees will be hosting our first “Town Hall” meeting and presenting a semi-annual report. We will offer both in-person and online attendance. In person, we’ll meet in the sanctuary at 12:30p. For those watching at home, you will have the opportunity to submit questions online in advance. Keep checking the website for more information.
Installing Rev. Maggie
But wait…there’s more!
Please save the date and plan to attend a very special service on August 1, when the CCU community will formally install Rev. Maggie as our Senior Minister and our CCU leadership team! We will have a special guest speaker, special music, and a reception following service! More will be revealed…
If there was any question as to whether CCU is rockin’ and rolling, you just take a look above. This is just a sampling of what is going on. Believe me, there is much MORE!
Don’t miss an opportunity to connect. Be sure you’re checking the website, social media, and subscribe to our YouTube channel to be notified anytime we are live streaming!
