Founded In Prayer

Prayer Requests

“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20

Unity was founded on the healing effects of active prayer – a joining together with God in affirmative thought and vision. Here at Unity of Central Florida, we invite you to submit your prayer request for yourself, your loved ones, an acquaintance, or a situation that you believe needs healing or clarity. Simply complete the online Prayer Request form and click Submit. From there, your prayer request will be sent to our prayer chaplains who will hold your request in sacred prayer for 30 days. At the end of that period, we will forward your prayer request to Silent Unity for another 30 days of sacred prayer.

In addition to offering online prayer requests, Unity of Central Florida provides a paper prayer request form located in the literature holder on the back of each pew and in the prayer box located at the front of the sanctuary. You may fill it out and drop it in the offering basket during church services.

You may also call Unity of Central Florida at 407-852-3940 to ask for a prayer chaplain to return your call. Phone staff is limited at this time so please be aware that there may be a delay.

Prayer Chaplains

Unity of Central Florida’s prayer chaplains are members of the church who feel called to pray with and for those who request prayer. They carry out the central mission of Unity. Prayer chaplains have received specialized training not only in Unity’s affirmative prayer methods, but also in holding each request in strict confidentiality. After church services, feel free to speak with one of our prayer chaplains and request a prayer in person.

Silent Unity Prayer Requests

“Prayer is more than supplication. It is an affirmation of Truth that eternally exists, but which has not yet come into consciousness. It comes into consciousness not by supplication, but by affirmation.”
Charles Fillmore in The Revealing Word

Affirmative prayer is at the heart of Unity ministries and church. Unity Prayer Ministry (Silent Unity®) traces its beginnings to 1889 when Myrtle Fillmore first gathered friends and acquaintances together in prayer. The group was renamed the Society of Silent Unity in 1891. Today, Silent Unity continues to be your partner in prayer and serves people of all faiths throughout the world. If you wish to connect directly with Silent Unity, call the prayer line at 1-816-969-2000 from 6 am to midnight CT, 7 am to 11 pm ET, or 4 am to 10 pm PT.
